The product is NOT suitable for use on an infant seat. It was developed for front facing car seats and high-back boosters.
It is recommended to take the car seat or high-back booster out of the car for proper installation, as indicated in the instruction booklet.
This product is NOT suitable for attaching to a regular car headrest.
NapUp does not need to be re-attached each time. When the forehead strap is not in use, it is in the up position, and does not disturb the child. The child can constantly enjoy the soft feeling of the cushion against his cheeks. Only when the child falls asleep, the forehead strap (that was above the head while awake), is moved down parallel to the child’s forehead to support the head when it inevitably starts bobbing.
Definitely. NapUp can easily be moved from one car seat or high backed booster to another, just make sure the product is attached correctly each time according to the instructions.
Not at all. When the child is awake, the forehead strap is located above the head and does not disturb the child. Only when the child falls asleep is the forehead strap moved to the down position, parallel to the child’s forehead, to support the head.
If this happens, you should re-attach the product in accordance with the instructions. Please make sure that the NapUp is attached at the right height – parallel to the child's forehead, with the Velcro on the forehead strap adjusted so that there is a 1-2 cm gap between the child’s forehead and the forehead strap.
The product is suitable for children from the age in which they start sitting facing forward in a car seat. With proper use of the Velcro on the forehead strap, the strap can be made as small or as big as needed, according to the child's head size. Please refer to the instructions to make sure the product is attached at the right height for the child.
Not at all. When the child is awake, the forehead strap is moved up above his head, without touching the top of the head. The child enjoys the soft feeling of the cushion against the sides of his face. When the child falls asleep, and the forehead strap is pushed downward to his forehead, there is still a 1 cm gap between it and the child’s head. This allows for free movement of the head while napping and does not restrict the head.
Most probably if your child says they don't like using it, it hasn't been installed or fitted correctly. In all our tests and from the feedback we have received from many users, once NapUp was properly installed and adjusted to the specific child, the children loved it!
We have been very strict in choosing high quality materials for NapUp. NapUp is made of "no sweat" materials (OEKO-TEX Standard), much like workout clothes, and uses a special technology to create “air flow” panels for maximum air circulation, in order to prevent the child from sweating.
NapUp is made mainly of textile which means that it can be machine washed on cold in the delicate cycle. The product can be washed as is, without taking out any parts, as even the snaps on the product are rust-proof. Lay flat to dry (do not wring). Do not put NapUp in the dryer.
NapUp is regarded by our customers as a very good value for money, because it is a product that actually grows with your child. It is suitable for children from the stage in which they sit in a front facing car seat and grows with them through all the years they are in a high back booster. NapUp is indeed a product that your child will enjoy for many years. Installation is so easy that it can be moved without any fuss. NapUp is made of the highest quality materials and can be machine washed, which keeps the product looking good and functional. Customers also see the value in the vast number of crash tests we have conducted, where we spared no expense. You can rest assured that NapUp does not only keep your child comfortable but also safe while napping in the car.
NapUp is a patent and is different from any of the existing products on the market. NapUp has many advantages; it prevents the head from dropping forward, yet doesn’t obstruct or affix the head, so it does not disturb the child, and does not cause the child to sweat. NapUp is the real solution to sleeping comfortably on the go.
In the unfortunate situation of an accident, NapUp's forehead strap automatically detaches and allows for the natural movement of the head, meaning the use of NapUp does not restrict the head in any way. Furthermore, it is important to note that NapUp does not alter the way a car seat or high-back booster performs in an accident, as proven by US Federal Safety Standards tests. For more information about safety, please see our Safety page.
NapUp currently comes in four beautiful, unisex colors – Red, Light Blue, Dark Blue and Grey.
NapUp is suitable for children sitting in front-facing car seats and high-back booster. NapUp is easily adjustable, which means it grows with your child and can be used for many years. The product includes a forehead strap connected by Velcro, which can be made smaller or bigger according to your child's head size.
Safety is NapUp’s priority. Various crash tests for head, chest and neck safety, as well as for side impact were conducted, under the US – FMVSS 213, NPRM 213, and EU – ECER44. These tests were done at the acclaimed US Calspan lab, where leading car seat companies run safety tests on their products, including car seats, booster seats, and infant carriers. The US Federal Safety Standards tests showed that the addition of the product does not alter the way the car seat or high-back booster performs in a crash. For more information, please see our Safety page.
The product easily attaches to any car seat or high-back booster with adjustable straps. When the child is awake, the head strap is moved to the up position, above the child's head. When the child falls asleep, the head strap is easily moved to the down position, parallel to the child's forehead, making gentle contact with the forehead when the head falls forward, solving the bobbing head problem. The head strap can easily be pushed down with two fingers by the driver at a red light, or by siblings sitting in the back seat. Many children learn to put the NapUp strap in place themselves when they get sleepy.
